Dear Ironclad Races Community,
We are thrilled to share the incredible impact your participation in the 2022 Ironclad Races has had on our local environment and community. Thanks to your support, we were able to collaborate with the Mother Earth Foundation and Sound Rivers to install the fourth trash trap on the Adkin branch in Kinston, North Carolina on August 10th.
This significant step towards a cleaner and healthier waterway system will not only benefit Kinston but also positively impact communities downstream. The trash trap was swiftly put to work and, just three weeks after installation, it successfully removed two bags of litter from the water.
Ironclad Races is immensely proud to be part of this collaboration with the Mother Earth Foundation, working tirelessly to make a lasting difference in our community by combating water pollution and fostering a cleaner Kinston. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the 2022 runners who made this possible through their active participation and support.
As we look forward to the 2023 race, we anticipate even greater strides toward environmental sustainability and community welfare. Your continued dedication and enthusiasm for making a positive impact are what drive us.
Thank you for being a part of the Ironclad Races community, and we eagerly await the incredible achievements that lie ahead.
Best regards,
Ironclad Race Team
