I can only imagine the enormity of planning a race. My husband and I used to live in Kinston. I love that your race introduces people to such a warm, wonderful community.
I know that they aren’t the Kinston Indians any more, but as a child we went to ball games there and it’s very special to finish on the field. Your race is well put on and one of the absolute best post races. I do 5-7 races a year (mostly triathlons) and this one wins. Thank you for the vast effort of organizing it. Racing gives people a win and sometimes it feels like the only win. Crossing a finish line is an accomplishment and in a world that can feel unforgiving it’s a beautiful way to feel some success.
That’s a gift that you’re giving hundreds of people a year.
